Proofing

PhotoBerry Studio's proofing feature allows photographers to streamline client feedback by enabling clients to select images and send their choices directly to the photographer for review.

Who Can Select Images?

  • Only clients who have been granted access to the session can select images.

How Clients Select Images

  1. Enable Proofing

    • The photographer can enable proofing in the Proofing Tab when editing a session.
    • When proofing is enabled, clients can select their preferred images when viewing the session.
  2. Selecting Images

    • Clients will see a checkbox when hovering over each image.
    • Clients can click on the checkbox to mark images for selection
  3. Submitting Selected Images

    • Once the client has selected their preferred images, a "Send" button will appear in the toolbar at the top right of the page, allowing them to submit their selection.
    • After clicking this button, a confirmation dialog will appear with the list of selected images. Clients can then choose to either cancel or submit the selection.

Displaying Selected Images

  • Once clients submit their selections, the selected images are highlighted in the session for the photographer to review.
  • Clients will also see their selections featured on the session page.
  • Selections cannot be modified after submission.
  • Photographers can filter images by Selected by Client in the admin view to quickly review the client’s choices.

Revisions and Final Images

In some cases, clients may request changes to selected images. Photographers can upload new versions of the images as revisions, allowing the client to review different versions. Learn more about how to manage revisions in the Image Revisions guide.

Once the client’s selections are finalized, mark the images as final in the session settings. Final images are displayed unwatermarked on the client’s page. For more details, see the Final Images guide.

Notifications and Emails

  • Once the client submits their image selection, the photographer will receive an email notification.
  • The email will include:
    • The client’s name (if applicable)
    • A link to the session
  • The email notification is sent to the email address of the WordPress user who owns the session.

Proofing Settings

  • In the Proofing Tab of the session settings, the photographer can:
    • Enable or disable proofing for the session.
    • Limit the number of images clients can select (optional, coming soon in the Pro version).
