Gallery and Session Access Types
PhotoBerry Studio provides several access control options to manage who can view your galleries, sessions, and corresponding images. You can read more about sharing options here.
User Roles and Access
Administrator
- Access Level: Full access
- Description: Administrators have complete control over all aspects of the PhotoBerry Studio plugin. They can create, edit, and delete galleries, sessions, manage client information, configure plugin settings, and access all protected content regardless of the access control settings.

Editor
- Access Level: High access
- Description: Editors can create, edit, and delete galleries and sessions, manage images, and handle client information. They can view all galleries and sessions, including those with restricted access.

Author
- Access Level: Moderate access
- Description: Authors can create and manage their own galleries and sessions, and upload images. They cannot edit or access galleries and sessions created by other users unless permitted by the access control settings.

PhotoBerry Studio Client
- Access Level: Restricted access
- Description: Clients can access galleries and sessions on which they are set as the client, which are shared with them via URL key or password, or those set to public access. Clients cannot create or manage content but can view images and content shared with them. Learn more about creating users with the PhotoBerry Studio Client role here.
Subscriber, Contributor
- Access Level: View-only access
- Description: Subscribers and Contributors can view public galleries and sessions, and those shared with them via URL key or password. They do not have permissions to create or manage galleries or sessions.
Capability Assignment
The listed capabilities are automatically assigned to the corresponding user roles when the plugin is first activated, and any new capability assignments in the plugin since the previously installed version of the plugin are added automatically after plugin update.
